"An unforgettable evening": Sting and Shaggy at the summer festival...

On Saturday evening, 9,000 visitors experienced an unforgettable evening at the summer festival in Mangfallpark in Rosenheim. The first ones arrived very early.

Mangfallpark began to fill up in the afternoon. The seats right at the front of the stage go quickly. "You have to be quick," reported visitors who wanted to be close to Sting and Shaggy and managed to snag a spot at the festival stage. It's easier in pairs because one can always hold the seat until the other returns from the restroom, which can certainly happen given the long wait times.

The wait for the evening's main act – Sting & Shaggy – was finally shortened by British singer and songwriter James Walsh. The 38-year-old has previously worked with Suzanne Vega. He has also toured as a support act with Simple Minds, Mike and the Mechanics, and Sting.

The summer festival in Mangfall Park accommodates 9,000 visitors. The majority were under 20. This is probably also due to the musicians: Seven facts each about Sting and Shaggy. The two "fit" together on one stage, and not just because of the Jamaican influences in the music of Sting and Mr. Boombastic himself from Jamaica.

It wasn't just a case of each performing a few of their own songs and both performing songs from their joint album "44/876." "World class," "An unforgettable evening," "If they're nearby, here's my tip: Go!" were just some of the initial comments on site in Mangfall Park.

On Sunday, Antenne Bayern will celebrate "Summer in the Park" with the visitors. It starts at 3 p.m.
