A very rocking Sting provided the show to close the first evening of "Sion Under the Stars"...

Sting didn't disappoint on the Tourbillon stage Wednesday night. In front of a captivated crowd, the British pop-rock icon belted out hits from "Police" to his solo hits. A successful combination.

At 65, Sting hasn't aged a bit. Neither has his rock. The former "Police" singer closed the first evening of "Sion Under the Stars" in style on Wednesday, succeeding Michel Sardou on stage.

The musician with his slightly worn but not tired bass, in a tight t-shirt, and as sharp as he was in his twenties, the Briton electrified the Tourbillon stage. Expertly compiling the hits of his former group - the moving "Message in a Bottle" -, tracks from his latest, very energetic album, released the day before his tribute concert to the victims of the Bataclan on November 12, 2016. And a fine selection of hits from his solo career, including the highly acclaimed "Englishman in New York."

A career that shows no sign of ending, the megastar is in top form and his enthusiasm is still contagious. Alongside his faithful guitarist Dominic Miller, he delivered a show lasting just over an hour and a half without a single breath. To the delight of a generous audience who didn't hesitate to give their voices.
